Having taken place in a little over a week now, I must say that this year's con was a bit more impressive than last year's. I'm very happy to say that my friend and I were greeted warmly while bearing swastika arm bands and Nazi uniforms. I want to make it absolutely clear that we weren't exactly cosplaying as any characters, but rather testing the water. A lot of people guessed we were from Hetalia, only to disappoint them. The truth of the matter is: we were curious as to how people would respond to such controversial get-ups. However, we are rather big fans of Hetalia and we intend to put it on our list of cosplay choices for next year's line-up of cons. This is coming from a person who generally loathes anime with every fibre of their being. That aside, the con was a blast both on Friday and Saturday.
We met all kinds of wonderful people wearing some of the best costumes I'd seen yet. To you Hetalia folks we met: You guys were spectacular and we hope to run into you guys again next year!
